Street Stories

Street Stories conducts unique walking tours of Melbourne led by people who have experienced homelessness. Street Stories aims to empower our guides to break their cycle of homelessness and create public awareness for the varied causes of homelessness to enable change.

Street Stories is a new social enterprise which conducts walking tours of Melbourne led by people who have experienced homelessness. The tours offer customers a chance to discover unseen aspects of the city as well as a unique insight into the daily experience of a homeless person in Melbourne. In addition, Street Stories aims to empower our guides coming out of homelessness by providing them with an opportunity to engage with the broader community through sharing their stories and experiences of homelessness.

Street Stories successfully ran ten tours as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2011 in September and October. They were the first event in festival history to be sold out before commencement.

Please follow our facebook page to keep updated for the next set of potential tours opening up.
