The University of Melbourne SIFE

We are a non-profit student organisation developing community projects to drive social change.

The University of Melbourne SIFE is the largest and most successful SIFE team in Australia - with 90 team members from eight faculties working across five ongoing projects. In July 2011, the team was named SIFE Australia National Champions.

Our purpose is threefold

  • to improve the lives of others by strengthening communities
  • to engage the business world in project partnerships
  • to create a new generation of socially responsible business leaders.

Our projects target a broad range of issues such as environmental sustainability, employment for the socially disadvantaged, and, through our first international project, the development of a sustainable livelihood for small enterprises in the developing world.
